Join Director of Training Gerry Hogan for live-fire training in our completely renovated Boyertown, PA training lab!

Class will be broken down into three segments covering the most frequently asked questions regarding steam and hot water boilers. Topics include:

– COLORS OF STEAM: 15 Basic Rules of Steam Systems and steam system piping, etc.
(steam portion is NATE and NORA certified for 2-credit hours)

–COLORS OF WATER: – calculations, load sizing and indirect-fired water heaters, etc. (hydronic portion is NATE and NORA certified for 2-credit hours)

– RESIDENTIAL OIL AND GAS BURNER SET-UP: hands-on wiring, fuel piping & venting , etc. (this portion is NATE and NORA certified for 1-credit hour)

Live-Fire Training Class Description:

These classes are hands-on, take-things-apart, put-them-back-together sessions. They are geared for technicians of all skill levels. We encourage attendees to bring their smart phones, laptops, analyzer and tools. We have them as well. The training is interactive and designed to provoke critical thinking when working with heating systems. Attendees will be asked to work out trouble-shooting problems based on what they have learned and to develop game plans to investigate system problems. Resolving problems is one part of the live-fire training. Understanding how to prevent problems is the natural extension of that knowledge. The Color of Water or Color of Steam book provided in class, along with other materials, will be valuable references for installing and tuning all types of boilers.
